The 49ers had good drafts in 2024 and 2025 and nobody talks about it. They were not top tier but they were really solid:
2024 - Pearsall/Green/Puni/Mustapha/Bethune
2025 - Mykel/Alfred/CJ/Sigle
4-5 players per draft who got significant play time, with 7 starters. Give 2026 time

Data says otherwise. Some very smart folks cover the draft on media side. Consensus boards out-draft many teams. Hit rates drop when teams veer extremely from consensus boards. Check out the book The Wisdom of Crowds.

Thought he might be in play at 58, but def not this high. 49ers have been the most willing team in the league to go against consensus. The results in those cases has not been great.

Wow! Size, speed, YAC … and will block. Stribling picked up a ton of heat late in the process. Tested well and got great character reports from teams.

JC Davis-Illinois OT. Tough, athletic kid w/Bay Area roots(McClymonds HS in Oakland) probably a 5th rd steal.
Ted Hurst-Georgia State WR. Big, fast exciting prospect w/a bright future. Probably a late 3rd rd pick. This kid looks special to me.
