@Kabamur_Taygeta @TMaximus988 @Ccat2025 Abraham demonstrated high faith in God. He trusted Him. Jesus was sacrificed on that same exact hill thousands of years later... It's always been about Him and the promise of Him...

@Kabamur_Taygeta @TMaximus988 @Ccat2025 God tested Abraham in this way because If I TRULY KNOW that GOD IS GOOD (have faith) then I KNOW He won't lead me anywhere bad... that even killing my son, if God wants me to, will work out for GOOD SOMEHOW. Because the command is from a Holy God who cannot sin or do evil.

The irony is that there are parts of the Bible I believe in more than most Christians do. I just don't believe it's all true. We don't have to accept the entire Bible as truth. It's not a book written by God. It's a collection of disjointed writings by fallible humans who interacted with both positive and negative extraterrestrials, edited together to fit a specific agenda. The 'all or nothing' approach to religion is how humans were tricked. We can discern which supernatural beings are light and which are dark by their moral actions toward humans. In the Bible, the Angels of Light are benevolent toward humans, while Yahweh-Jehovah (God) is malevolent. The truth is, God isn't actually a character in the Bible. There are only beings who the elites identified as God. All of the supernatural beings in religions are extraterrestrials called by different names, including "Angels" and "God".

The Bible is comprised of writings from at least 40 different authors over 1,500 years. At least 5 of the authors are completely unknown. The Church can't name all the authors of the Bible, but expects you to believe they all spoke for God. The Bible should be seen as a historical document with embellishments and inaccuracies due to changing perspectives, lack of information and moral confusion. All historical records are biased. How we feel about a historical event depends on who's perspective the story is told from. The hard truth is that long ago humans worshiped anything that came from the sky, especially beings who threatened them with punishment. Evidence that worship of dark forces was mainstream is seen with blood rituals. Neither the Bible nor any other holy book should be called the word of God. God is Source, not a male deity telling humans what to do. A book can't be infallible because the book itself says so, or because those who derive Earthly power from the book say so.

@Ccat2025 @Kabamur_Taygeta God is Holy. The Old testament is a Holy God interacting with unholy people. Trying to get them to walk in His ways, which pointed to His character (which they constantly failed at) They kept failing.. so in His mercy, He provided a path of perfect justice in Jesus.

@Kabamur_Taygeta I’ve known this since I was 8 years old reading the Bible. How could God be evil? I never believed it was the real God. God wouldn’t make you kill your son! I think this is why Catholics barely mention the Old Testament except for the history aspects. Jesus spoke of the real God.
