Congressman Robert Garcia is leading the charge to fight back against the Trump Administration in Washington. As colleagues on the Oversight Committee, we fought tirelessly to hold Donald Trump and special interests accountable for cheating California families and raising costs. I’m so grateful to have @RobertGarcia backing in this race, and I look forward to partnering together when I’m Governor to defend Californians from Trump’s attacks.

I’ve never been afraid to call out Donald Trump and powerful special interests, and that’s not going to stop when I’m Governor.

In light of the allegations of sexual assault, Eric Swalwell should resign from Congress and end his campaign for public office. But those decisions do not absolve him of taking responsibility for his misconduct, especially when he has attempted to silence and retaliate against these victims. These allegations merit full investigations, and these women deserve the right to pursue justice. Too often, men escape any consequence for sexual misconduct by stepping out of power. That is a first and necessary step towards justice because it limits the ability for further harm. I stand with these women as they seek justice.

The allegations against Congressman Swalwell are horrifying. I’m thinking of the courageous women who have come forward to share their stories. We believe you and we stand with you.

More and more students are heading out of state for school, even though some of our best universities are right here in California. I’ll change that. By pairing two years of free community college with two free years at our UC and CSU campuses, I will make a four-year degree a reality for everyone—without the debt.

Senator Elizabeth Warren knows what it means to fight for working families. Together, we’ve held the powerful accountable, put people before billionaires, and worked hard to lower costs for Americans. Grateful to my friend @ewarren for her endorsement in this race.

Californians deserve a Governor who works for the people, not the billionaires.

For too long, our country has expected care to happen for free or for pennies on the dollar. We rely on people we often fail to recognize, fight for, or listen to. That is morally wrong and economically stupid. Investing in care is a strategic move to grow our population and economy. It’s time we change how we value our care providers.

The time for patience is over. When I’m Governor, there won’t be any more waiting to make the investments care workers deserve. I’ll get it done.

NEW: I’m calling on Trump to cancel private jet flights instead of commercial airlines. Private jet flights often take a single billionaire passenger, but still put real strain on our air traffic control system. Trump is choosing to target commercial airlines that the rest of us take, rather than grounding his billionaire friends. That’s messed up — and shows you who he is about.

Nothing is stronger than the power of democracy—not even a wannabe dictator. Last night, Californians showed we’re ready to stand up to Donald Trump—and we aren’t slowing down.
