I’m staying in St. Louis with my Fiancé at my #1 program! I’ve had a lot of nerves leading to this day and it’s a surreal feeling on the other side of it. I’m so grateful for everyone’s support and love. Joyous celebration 🎉❤️

Well dang. I had my first almost feinting spell in medical school. Almost all 4 years without one! The nurses were so great and fished me out of the procedure room. It was during a MILD procedure out of anything. Just pieces of the spine being taken out, got me.

Better weather means dinner time on my back patio. ❤️ I live in an older neighborhood in St Louis, where the trees are giants, our buildings are less than a arms length apart and maybe a little tilted. In the summer, I can hear a melody of bird and squirrel chirps, 1/

children laughing, radios blasting, and maybe an argument or two. After a long day at the hospital or like today studying for boards, it’s just so wonderful to be surrounded by life. My eyes are a little puffy from overstrain. I close them, lay in my hammock, and soak it all in.

Studying GI today, knowingly planning on eating too many tacos later for Cinco De Mayo. 🌮🌮🌮

Another lecture at NASA explained space suits! The suits keep astronauts safe in a literal vacuum. The hands are one of the most difficult designs to allow movement and tool use! 👍✋
