Today we're celebrating the Edward M. Cotter, the world's oldest working fireboat! Construction began on this date in 1900 on the Cotter, which has spent generations along our waterfront. This 1958 photo from our collection shows the Cotter extinguishing a fire at General Mills.

This Sunday, March 27, @ErieCounty200, Sportsmen's Tavern, and the Black Rock Historical Society are presenting a FREE concert "200 Years of Music: An Erie County Bicentennial Concert" from 4-8 pm. Doors open at 3:30 at Sportsmen's in Black Rock. It should be a great time!
