The Arkansas legislature won’t let doctors practice medicine, which drives medical professionals out of our state and makes it more dangerous to be pregnant. This is unacceptable. I’ll always fight to keep healthcare private.

As a teacher, I know better than anyone how harmful the LEARNS voucher scheme is for students and educators. My third graders deserve well-funded schools, and my colleagues deserve fair pay. To undo the voucher damage, send a teacher.

As we reflect on this day, let us honor the memory of those we lost by embracing the same unity and compassion that helped us heal. Together, we can build a future rooted in understanding and kindness, ensuring that the legacy of September 11th remains one of resilience and hope.

That spirit of solidarity continues to inspire us today, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we can find strength in our shared humanity.

On this September 11th, we remember the tragic events of 2001 & honor lives lost that day. I vividly recall sitting in my car in the parking lot of Arkansas State University, listening to the news as classes were being let out and a sense of confusion and fear filled the air.

The people of Arkansas deserve to know how tax dollars are spent. Our legislature rolled back the right to know this and other information, and the voters I talk to daily are sick of it. I will always be accountable as NEA’s State Senator.
