Ball won inside his own half by @Cragsy28, goes for a wee run, sees the keeper off his line, goes for a lob but it just wide. 1-0

@SpartansFC Cmon guys, life is on the on the line. If the three points are wasted I will need to take six or two shots of Sonnema Berenburg for my friends.

I’ve liked Christianity more and more the more I see the downstream effects of not having it. Stuff like in China the elites treating the people like cattle or the rise of agnostic elites immediately devolving into tyranny. Women in the Muslim world not allowed to leave the house. We’re so stuck in a Christian social frame we have no idea how much of an improvement it is compared to anything else. I think the most adamant anti Christian, if you showed them what the long term absence of Christianity leads to, they’d balk.

Isn’t it ironic a century of wealth did more to destroy Western civilization at its roots than the centuries of constant war, dogmas, genocides and famines. The latter made the West great while the prior, combined admittedly with the World Wars being so bad killed European civilization. It’s ironic from our perspective but the wise of the past such as Herodotus, Plato, the Jewish Prophets, Buddha among others knew that it’s harder to fight the degenerative forces of wealth than pain. It requires genuine wisdom and temperance, the opposite traits war rewards. Providence forces us to be tough and thick headed to survive war, while those very same traits degenerate us in peace. As the Greeks said, the only thing that could destroy Sparta, Rome or Persia was their own victory

Like it or not: Germany’s energy system is fully operational, with more than 50% renewables. And we are shutting down – not building – coal & nuclear plants. Coal will be off the grid by 2038 at the latest. PS: We also don’t eat cats and dogs. #Debate2024

@tomaspueyo Maybe an interesting thing for you to look up is the Dutch program ‘Ruimte voor de Rivier’ or in plain English Space for the River on how to tackle these.
