@JenDragonRose Thankfully they’re not like that at all! They’re very open minded about genre, just so long as creative pieces fit the assignment parameters (short story/extract, prose, target audience, word count etc) 😊

@ErinAMitchell1 I hope they don't limit you about what you can write! My creative writing program was really into southern literature and disapproved of fantasy . LOL. So of course I had to be a rebel and write fantasy stories. I'm honestly amazed they let me graduate. 😂

Personal writing has taken a bit of a back step lately as I was accepted into a Graduate Degree in Writing and Literature. However I’ve still managed to enter 6 short story writing competitions and submitted 2 assignments. Sharpening the skills… #WritingCommmunity #writinglife

I am struggling to write. I’ve been struggling for a long time. It’s like I have no emotions to spare, and without emoting I cannot write. Because I write from a place of emotion. Is there another way to do it?

I just finished #TheHummingbirdEffect by #KateMildenhall through #NetGalley I think Skylarking may still be my favourite, but this book is right up there. It’s part historical, part contemporary, part speculative fiction & it might even be her best yet. Thanks @SimonSchusterAU
