It will be our love, not our opinions which will be our greatest contribution to the world.

@ClappsClass @camp_station @co_sumner This makes me so happy that SCE will be a showcase stop! As a first-year 2nd grade teacher last year, the support systems at SCE for new teachers were instrumental in my success in the classroom and in the school community.

Incredible work was happening @camp_station this morning! Second graders dug deeply into Bone Button Borscht with @cecilygalo , Mrs. Williams class @4thgradeismyjam evaluated an exemplar & wrote about myths, and Mrs. Leggett class explored text features with Transportation text.

When students are engaged in science or STEM projects that require math analysis, they often have to deal with variables or data that doesn't quite fit. I'm thinking specifically of plant growth, water absorption, repeated race trails. etc. #scschat

A3: I think we can foster this by giving students freedom to approach problems creatively (yet efficiently). Being asked to evaluate a problem, choose a strategy, and defend their choice gives them ownership and direction in a way many of us never had growing up. #scschat

A2: I think finding patterns and connections are important to the big picture. Engaging kids in authenticproblem solving, with trial and error, mistakes and ahas, beats memorizing the steps in a procuedure.#scschat
