Because heaven forbid I suggest he take the bus since it’s so convenient. Were it me, I’d take the bus, and enjoy the ride.

We have to take my husband’s car into the shop at the ungodly hour of 7am this week. Then I have to drive him from there to work, even though the car shop is a mere 250 feet from a bus stop on a bus line that will take him 0.2 miles (roughly 3 blocks) from his work.

If you just don’t go to sleep on a Sunday night does that mean another shitty work week can’t begin?

Funny how I thought the birthday where I was laid off 19 days before my birthday would be my worst. I was wrong.

Before I delete this account, and since I mostly use it as a place to vent, I would just like to report that today I was instructed on how to round up or down. As if I don’t have a concept of 2nd grade math.

I wish my birthday didn’t exacerbate my depression every year. And it absolutely is not about “aging”/getting older. This year will be worse than last. Every year it gets worse.

I think 6-7 PM may be the best bet with a rain jacket or poncho. Will see how the radar unfolds and will send regular updates.

New (0z) HRRR model: rain 4-5 PM, ending around 7-8 PM. Generally consistent with other models. Models are not train schedulers. They often err. But they're better than almanacs, intuition, ya gut, arthritic knees, local dogs ... nvrm nothing is better than a local dog.

*The known cure is obviously to get a new book. But the process of selecting one that is available NOW (at the library obvs) is always daunting.

I think there needs to be a word for the specific grief felt when you finish a book and have nothing lined up to read next.
