March 23, 2002: @RBSpartans beat LeBron James and Akron St. Vincent St. Mary’s 71-63 to win the D2 state championship in one of the most memorable games in Ohio H.S. basketball history. 18,375 packed Ohio State's Value City Arena. Roger Bacon had four scorers in double figures: Josh Hausfeld 23, Monty St. Clair 15, Beckham Wyrick 14 and Frank Phillips 13. James, a junior, finished with 32 points. I would highly recommend the book by Tony Meale, "The Chosen Ones: The Team That Beat LeBron."

Of course, kids are bigger, faster & stronger, but the small details are missing especially in late-game situations. Teams make the game too difficult. Missing FTs, bad shot recognition, lack of time & score, etc…intangibles you pick up watching the game not highlights.
