I still believe in church. I still believe what Jesus meant it to be is what it can be. I still believe in the power of corporate worship, the preaching of the Word, the communion of saints. I still weep over baptisms & believe there is no richer life than the community of faith.

No One Comes to the Father except through Me

(I pray) that you may be able to understand...what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes all knowledge, that you would be filled with all the fullness of God. Eph3:18

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

There is tremendous relief in knowing that God’s love to me is utterly realistic, based at every point on prior knowledge of the worst about me, so that no discovery now can disillusion him about me, in the way I am so often disillusioned about myself.

The resurrection of #Jesus #Christ is an historical event, but it must become more than that to us.

Jesus was made like us, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God. Thank You, Lord, for sharing our humanity so that we might know Your help today and live in Your presence forever.

Don't live your life in a day without God! Let the word of God fill your heart and your mind......

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, ...we may receive mercy and find grace... (Heb 4:15)
