@pastoremase Eric, y’all have also been through so much with your beloved wife’s health journey. It’s a lot to bear. Life can be brutal. You are dearly loved.

I’m better but have a LONG way to go. First off I want to thank all you who have pulled up on me against my liking, those making me get out into the sunlight, holding me accountable to workout, challenging me to press into YHWH. With mental health challenges you sometimes don’t want to do anything. I have been and will be continuing intensive therapy sessions. I’ve had sessions through my therapist, my family, my Pastor, and several mentors that have been in my life for decades. In this post, I’m not looking for advice, it’s just that I’m getting so many messages online and through other means to where I just wanna let you all know where I am and what’s going on. As the Lord frees me to do so I’ll do updates. The overwhelming outpouring this week has been more than I could ever imagine. At times this has felt like a lonely journey but Holy Spirit has been amazing. I read the word everyday and send up staccato prayers. But much of this time I’ve been speechless before God. YHWH has told me that one day he will free me to tell the whole story of this journey, but today my full time job is to HEAL! One of the biggest words that I’ve gotten during this time from a dear brother was Jesus said “it is finished, not I am finished”. I needed that!

If it needs to be said, @jenniferwilkin is a faithful Bible teacher and faithful woman of God. She has blessed our women here so many times and encouraged our staff. She is a great leader and I’ve learned a great deal from her.

@BethMooreLPM Just wanted to tell you how much ”Walking with God” has meant to me. I’m going through a season of self deprecation following breast cancer surgery. Your willingness to share the intimate details of your marriage relationship have been so reassuring to me.

There are certain things that are really wonderful about marrying a person near your same age. Namely, getting old at the same time. For example, Keith and I both have arthritis in our hands and it’s a tossup who can open any given lid. When I do floor exercises, half the time he has to get me up. And when we go somewhere, we say to each other, come on, old geezer. And laugh every time.

@bethanyshondark I retired two years ago and have been taking one class per semester, since. I audited my first year, then took last year’s classes for credit — and I just started a Master’s program that will keep me busy for the next four years! You can totally do it.

I wish there was such a thing as college at 40. A chance to do it over, only this time we don’t take classes for credits and grades, but just to learn.

So, for the past two weeks 3/4 of the pastors on here suddenly became rules and strategy experts at soccer. This past weekend they became world class experts in film production and acting. Apparently, for the remainder of this week they’ll be wavering between expert opinions in filmography and then being experts in prosecuting sex offenders in Europe. Mind you, half these guys didn’t know soccer was a sport six weeks ago 🤣. Y’all need to be quiet sometimes, or at least stick to the very few things you actually know a little something about. Like me and @BethMooreLPM We will be quiet until NBA season fires up again 🏀

What would otherwise have been a grueling day of travel (flight delays, sitting on runways, etc.) literally flew by because I spent it reading this forthcoming book by @kkdumez!

@edstetzer @EricGeiger My brother, that chair was likely at the top of my list for things I thanked God for after a brutal surgery a little over a year ago. And when I no longer needed it, I gave it to someone else who did because it was so helpful to me!

Today, @EricGeiger helped lift me up the stairs and set up my new chair. The chair actually lifts you out of the seat. I'm pretty sure I've seen commercials for these over the years—and I'm equally sure I made fun of them. Today, I publicly repent. "Bear one another's burdens" turns out to include helping your buddy navigate the stairs—and assembling his lift chair. 😄

Ladies, wear your sports bras if you see the Odyssey in 4D. It was like sitting in one of those manicure massage chairs while getting hit in the face with a water gun on a rollercoaster with air being blown in your ear like your dating Matt Damon.
