@BethMooreLPM
I love Jesus. I love Scripture. I like people. I like diversity. My interactions and follows do not equal endorsements or reflections of doctrinal alignment.

@BethMooreLPM I want to retire and have a donkey sanctuary. And horses. And dogs.
Ok. I want to have a huge sanctuary for animals and people. Healing and hope.

@Markins Positive! Except when my youngest discovered Psalty wasn’t real. 10 times worse than Santa. Lol.
PS. My daughters and I could still sing every Psalty song.

@BethMooreLPM This is a significant problem that no one talks about. Thanks for having the courage to stand up and address it. I too struggle with this issue.

@edstetzer Honestly, I’d need to take a few hours to break this completely down.

@BethMooreLPM We feel the same way about our Xena warrior princess. Shes so soft and cuddly! Our pets are family huh!

@BethMooreLPM Beth, somehow my 15 minute commute to work has gotten way longer since we got a cat. It’s almost like I can’t leave the house on time or something?

@BethMooreLPM And before you left the house, you told her, “I’ll be back, be a good girl, I love you.” She understood every word.
We have similar rituals with our Fraser. He says hello to Pecos!

@BethMooreLPM Just beautiful. God is good and kind. He causes all things to work together for our good. He calls us victors and overcomers irrespective of the battles in front of us. He sees it all and knows the end of the story!

I still believe.
I’ve had countless prayers that weren’t answered the way I hoped. Things withheld that I wanted in life so badly. Seen brokenness that never fixed. But I’ll tell you what I have seen. I’ve seen the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
And I’ll tell you what I did get. I got Jesus. I realize again and again that the reason the scriptures still jump from the page with the life of the Holy Spirit so often when I read is because God saw to it that I’d need them. Require them. That they’d be my food and the living water of the Holy Spirit, my drink.
This was to his good pleasure. I still believe. I believe his nearness is my good and his presence is my ecstatic joy. I have many regrets. Entrusting my life into the scarred hands of Jesus is not one of them.
You can trust him.

A walk in the woods at sun up with an off leash birddog is no mere stroll. First, we happened on a possum lumbering around like it was just coming home from the bar. I don’t know if Pecos scared it into playing dead or I did hollering, “LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!” Then rabbits. Deer. A raccoon in the hole of a tree which, to bother, is a particular transgression since I dearly love to catch a glimpse of a little face peeking out of the hollow of a tree.
I went to hunt my favorite picture of that very occurrence in my phone’s photo album but, when I searched “trees,” amid the many, it brought up a picture of me with my hair looking particularly large and, well, sprouty and now I’m in a terse mood. I don’t understand how it is my phone knows to make fun of me.

@drjamesmerritt That’s not just a milestone. That is a mountain climb. Congratulations, you two! What an example you are!

I love when really great writers write on writing. I get something out of almost all of them even if it’s just encouragement to persist in this marvelous and maddening vocation. And a few of them have profoundly marked me. I can’t wait for this one by @ANNELAMOTT & @NealFAllen!

Day 23 in #aBirdFromTheLord
A crow atop a light post, just before it winked out. Mornings in our neighborhood are a cacophony—finches and sparrows, doves and crows. Cars and trucks, too.
Today will be a long day. But there is solace in these minutes of noisy stillness.
