Ngomba, one of the most densely populated parishes in Ankore, largely by arrivals from other parts of the country from 1968, in Kazo district, is an expression of hard work, committed elders working with productive youth. The young people who began with weekly contributions of UGX1000 to UGX5000 have now built an organisation that gives each family a cow, grows coffee and drive out poverty from their homesteads. We spent Thursday with them to figure out if their coffee volumes would warrant a huller installed for them. I thank the leadership of both Kazo and Ibanda districts for working together to deal with youth poverty, showing the way to aggregate products for exports and donating workspaces for this effort.

Save for Protected Health Information, medical officers are obliged to offer, at least the basic minimum details of what exactly happened. We risk allowing casualness into medical practice if we don’t demand standards. That hospital would be a crime scene under normal circumstances.

The church hasn’t denied a road to the hospital, the church is only asking for a compensation and a clear plan for the road, that shouldnt be too hard for you to understand Mr Useful idiot.

@kusiimapaul @WatsonArinda The point is not wether parliament was right or not, the point is they found illegalities in how the church acquired the land. Wether they are right or not that is a different discussion and if they were indeed wrong, then the church should proceed to prove that.

Uganda Must Own the Coffee Value Chain Coffee value is not created at the farm alone. It is built through roasting, packaging, shipping, shelf positioning, retail visibility, and access to patient financing. If Uganda is to earn more from its coffee, we must participate in every serious stage of the chain, not just the first one.
