According to four people who had direct knowledge of that day, Trump didn’t want to go because he feared his hair would become messy in the rain. Regardless, he didn’t think it was important, as former staffers relayed a conversation he had that day, where he said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”, and then later referring to the 1800 marines who lost their lives as “suckers” A disgusting, anti-american, traitor.
