So I was talking to the @Escrow_com team and explaining that password reset emails are not coming through. A support team member told me to delete my account and create a new one, even though my account already has activity on it and isn’t new. That was probably the craziest and most ridiculous answer someone could give instead of actually checking what the issue is on their side and taking care of it

I can see why this answer was provided. We have to be very careful for security and compliance purposes in the cases where an account may have been hijacked or accessed by an unverified/unauthorized user. Social engineering is very real and are becoming harder and harder to verify and detect these days with advanced AI tools being prevalent and accessible.

At the point of sale, Escrow's role is to protect the buyer's funds until the merchandise is received and checks out according to the terms of the sale. If this was a regular direct transfer of funds, the seller would be in full possession of the money upon backing out of the sale. Should the Escrow fee be waived in cases where the transaction does not complete, this would means that for every circumstance where Escrow.com protects against potential fraud, Escrow actually does not get paid. Creating a conflicting incentive.

@Darcymason @Escrow_com @D3inc buyer risks 5% if the transaction doesn't go through - according to escrow TOS, even if the seller backs out...the transaction fee is paid by buyer. No chance I will ever accept these terms again.

I will never use @Escrow_com again! I will never buy anything where the seller insists on using escrow.com - the worst experience ever! Nothing is worth this aggravation. Slowest response time. Worst customer service. How are you still in business?

Wanted to jump in here to shed some light on the Escrow process as this commonly comes up as misconceptions. When you see "payment under verification" what it actually means is that Escrow needs to ensure that all checks/balances/regulatory requirements are met by all parties before we allow the transaction to proceed. This may include things such as but not limited to: 1) All parties KYCd 2) Method of funding and disbursement verified 3) Received funds are fully traceable end-to-end 4) All sales documentation (if applicable) is submitted and approved 5) Additional compliance documents (if applicable) have been submitted and approved It's acknowledged from our side that we could be doing more to communicate the above better on the platform which is a current ongoing project for our product team.
