Curators launched on July 7. Anyone who finds a trend before it has a name can build the page for it, and get credit when everyone else catches up. Gabo's framing is direct: algorithms decide what you see, prediction markets just bet on whatever the algorithm surfaces, and Noise wants to reward the humans who spotted it first. That's a real incentive design choice, not a marketing line. It changes who the platform is optimizing for. Here's the tension nobody's pricing in yet. A title attracts people who want the title. The first wave of curators found things because they were genuinely early, plugged into scenes nobody else was watching. The next wave will be optimizing to look early, which is a different skill entirely. Once curation becomes a status game with a name attached, some fraction of "discovery" becomes performance. @noise_xyz built a system that rewards being first.
