@PolleyMatt Thanks Matt. It was just raised due to the Covid it seems but CMDU lady said I should be calling 999 and that seemed extreme. Anyway, I called 111 for advice and they sent me to A&E. Probably a wasted trip as it was just Covid. Infusion tomorrow (an hour away from home 😫)

@EssJayBee6 Heart rate anxiety? Remember it’s ok to feel under the weather, you have a virus. It’s good you’ve had your boosters, stay calm. I’ve had covid twice and I know exactly how you feel. Keep in contact with the doctors. DMs are open 👍

@PolleyMatt Yes I have. Br my heart rate is 113 now and my legs hurt and I feel these aren’t good symptoms to wait with 😫 Thanks though.

@beakerbowie @thismorning @GylesB1 Absolutely! And he had no idea what the issues were with the paper or why the kids were overwhelmed. They were presented with a paper unlike any of those past papers they had seen or prepared for. Of course they were overwhelmed!

@Churchill How do I speak to someone today. It seems there is no customer service available to take my call and I’ve so far waited 3 days for a hire car which you promised in 48hrs.

@ART_67 Nobody really talks about life after transplant. It’s all about life up until transplant but never about what it will be like afterwards. It’s tough and it’s a really slow process but allow yourself to accept the slow progress. 💪

While I have expressed my elation and gratitude for a transplant I should also stress that it’s very tough. Recovery can feel like it is going on and on and it can feel like you are a prisoner in your own body. But have to keep going.

@BTStransplant Is there a way to listen to this talk or see the slides because this slide on its own, makes little sense! As a liver transplant recipient, I’m interested to understand it! 🙂 Thanks!

@DrBenLovell From experience I can tell you it smells of old lady faeces following her use of the commode in the narrow space between your bed and her bed. You will want to throw your head out of the nearest window after a whiff of that.

Doing a simulation training day for doctors and found this in the control room. I asked the sim tech what it was and he told me: “it’s a room odouriser, it’s supposed to make the sim room smell like a ward”. I smelled it & WOW IT TOTALLY DOES! What do you imagine it smells of?

@EssJayBee6 @criminographer I started at work with a headache and a fever (but felt cold). The next day I felt terrible, I couldn't get out of bed. I was coughing, shivering, sweating, crippling headache, sore throat, aching all over. I've never felt so ill!

Darling girl is smiling again. She has generously passed on the flu to me & I can 10/10 not recommend. But I'm so relieved she is OK. Thanks for all the kind well wishes ❤️ So sorry if you have messaged me about the R4 programme & I haven't replied. I will do so ASAP.

@criminographer I had it before Christmas and it really wiped me out followed by a chest infection. It was NOT pleasant. Going for a flu jab on Sunday at Boots chemist! Hope you feel better soon!

@HeyKidney @NNUH I had this too! Magic med indeed. Felt SO much better after it. Am I right in thinking you have to wait 6 months in between doses of Sotrovimab antibody infusion? Did you have your last treatment more than 6 months ago?

@mancLaduk @HeyKidney @NNUH This is the antibody infusion (Sotrovimab). I had it too. If you have had a transplant and are poorly with Covid, this is one of the treatment options. You log your LFT online, Clinician phones you and asks questions and offers a treatment.

@HeyKidney @NNUH Can I ask why you are receiving this treatment my transplant was 2016 and I’ve had #covid now 3 times

@FionaCLoud I like to refer to the antibody infusion as “magic juice” because honestly, if you have Sotrovimab like I did, it’s only a 30 min infusion and 8 hours later, I felt like a new woman!! Hope it works just as well for you. x

@EssJayBee6 Hi Sarah, thanks for getting in touch. They'll all be slightly different. There were a list of 85 activities the places we are care could choose from, so there may be some crossover but they shouldn't be exactly the same. We hope this helps.
