It is hard to imagine Essar without Mehraji. A doyen of the steel industry, he stood with us for nearly three decades through defining moments. Clear in his thinking, firm in his conviction and always generous with his guidance. I grew up watching Papa and Mehraji build our steel business together, brick by brick. To me, he was a mentor, a guide and a friend. Someone I could always turn to. Steady, practical and deeply committed to what he believed in. You will be deeply missed, Mehraji. My prayers are with the family. Om Shanti.

The Essar family is deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Jatinder Mehra ji, a respected veteran of India’s steel industry and a leader whose vision charted some of our most significant milestones at Essar Group. Mehra ji spearheaded numerous transformational projects, turning ideas into impact and inspiring teams with his clarity, commitment and leadership. His contributions remain embedded in our journey, and his legacy will continue to guide us forward. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

#Essar today inaugurated the Dwarka Padyatri Seva Camp, organised outside our Salaya Power Plant, to support devotees walking to Dwarka for the Fuldol Holi Mahotsav. The camp was inaugurated by Shri @AjayJadeja171 ji, in the presence of village sarpanchs, local leaders, community members, and @EssarPorts & @EssarPower teams. With over 1 lakh padyatris expected to pass through the camp until 28th February, the initiative will provide food, drinking water, refreshments, rest areas and medical assistance, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for devotees. #EssarCares @EssarFoundation @rock_reforms
