To everyone in oncology and cancer research, myself included. Let us remember why we do this work. Let patients be the center of research and medical practice. Not an afterthought, not another paper, not just data points and data to be extracted.

I lost my dad to stage IV prostate cancer. Christmas and New Year won't be the same. I feel like I could write a book about what I experienced, but I will just say this: patients are not data points. They are human beings whose suffering is real, profound, and shattering.

Mi papá (papi) me ha apoyado toda la vida. Hoy está pasando por un momento difícil y tendrá una operación en el Hospital de Oncología del CMN Siglo XXI en CDMX. En la madrugada viajaré en ambulancia con él, desde Querétaro hacia ese hospital. @Tu_IMSS @zoerobledo
