You don’t just say: “God bless what I am doing.” You say: “Lord, what are You doing, and how do I align with it?” In Judges 20:18, the children of Israel went to God and asked: "Who shall go up first?" They didn’t rush. They inquired. Even Jesus showed us this pattern. In Luke 6:12, before choosing the disciples, He spent the night in prayer. Decisions that shape destiny must be preceded by inquiry. How then do you pray the prayer of inquiry? You come with a quiet heart, not a crowded mind. You ask specific questions: “Lord, should I go or stay?” “Is this relationship Your will?” “Is this opportunity from You?” “What is the next step?” James 1:5 says: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God... and it shall be given him." But inquiry requires patience. You don’t rush God’s voice. Sometimes He answers through His Word. Sometimes through peace in your spirit. Sometimes through godly counsel. Sometimes through divine timing and open doors. But He will answer. Isaiah 30:21 says: "And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it." That is the power of inquiry — you don’t walk guessing, you walk knowing. Stop moving without asking. Stop deciding without hearing. Prayer is not only for requests — it is for direction.
