Write & WIN $100 Write a 300-word short story from Amina's perspective, showing her journey from despair to determination. Write about the challenges she faces, the things she learns about herself and how she finds the strength to turn things around. HER BACKSTORY (Life throws us lemons, and sometimes it's hard to make lemonade out of them.) Amina, a 25-year-old aspiring photographer, is struggling to make ends meet while juggling freelance gigs and caring for her ageing mother. She feels invisible, undervalued, and on the verge of giving up. But then, an unexpected encounter with a renowned artist reignites her passion and inspires her to take control of her own narrative. KICK OFF Challenge kicks off Today Monday, February 26, 2024, and submissions end at 11:59 pm on Saturday, March 2. Winners will be announced on Thursday, March 7. Prize Details: • Eight winners will be chosen, each will receive a $100 credited to their Geegpay account. Instructions for Writing and Submission: 1. Writing your story: • You must be a citizen of a Ghana, Kenya or Nigeria to participate. • Must be an original story that has not been published or submitted anywhere else before. • Each story must be 300 words. With an allowance of 50 words over or under. • Must adhere to the prompt. • We prioritise organic content, and Al-generated entries will be disqualified. • Plagiarism or the use of copyrighted material without proper attribution will also lead to disqualification. 2. Creativity and originality of the story. 2. Adherence to the prompt and instructions. 3. Writing quality. 4.
