The paid version of DaVinci Resolve offers auto captioning. If you’re looking for free or cheaper options I’ve seen plugins for DaVinci such as Snap Captions 2, AutoCut, and auto-subs. Haven’t gotten to use them yet but they’re something to look into if you don’t get any other suggestions!

The way I see it, only people who have read all 108 volumes and 1100 chapters of the One Piece manga, watched all 1100 episodes of the anime, went to at least TWO Comic Cons cosplaying as Monkey D Luffy, and watched both seasons of the live action should even be allowed to SAY the name “One Piece” let alone wear One Piece merchandise!

This is not surprising news to me. Sony has already removed TV shows and movies from users libraries that were PURCHASED by the users in Germany and Austria back in 2022, then tried to do the same with people in the US in 2023 under the pretense of “licensing issues” before a temporary reversal due to backlash. They have also stopped producing recordable Blu-ray Discs and Blu-ray recorders.
Sony is only the most prominent example right now but others will follow (looking at you Nintendo). We ARE moving in the direction of owning nothing as the ability to physical own anything is dwindling every year. Don’t think your Steam library is safe either as an eventual change in leadership or outside forces could change that in an instant (looking at you payment processors and governments)…

PlayStation support has confirmed that a new digital rights management policy for the console is intentional, not a glitch. Starting with any digital games purchased after the March 2026 system update, your PS5 will require an internet connection at least once every 30 days to validate the license. If the console stays offline longer than that, the games simply will not launch until you reconnect. This change does not affect any titles already in your library. Setting a console as your primary system also will not bypass the monthly check-in.
