@Ari_Halberd trying to take their birthright. this attitude seems to persist even after ftm transition, and if anything seems to be more common in trans men because they've suffered more from being born female and have thus grown more attached to that psychic compensation.
English

@Ari_Halberd lots of afab people are socialized to believe that the sense of moral superiority they get from being female is their compensation for the suffering of being born a woman, and see trans women trying to call themselves female or claim "female experiences" like rape as intruders--
English

@barfieldgussy what they mean is "it's less bad when a tran gets raped because he's male and only women can be legitimate rape victims"
English

@checkria a lot of trans men are defensive of womanhood from mtf appropriation in the same way cis women are. they see rape as a female experience and trans women as men who aren't entitled to speak on it even if they've experienced it because they're male.
English

i've been through male puberty and i've been raped and male puberty was worse
you don't get to police the way trans women talk about their trauma
LeoRaven🏳️⚧️🇲🇽🦇⛧🦇@LeoRaven49
I have been raped repeatedly by my step father and been through a female puberty and because of said puberty was able to give birth, it's not comparable. I'm sorry it really fucking isn't. I can reverse the effects of my first puberty but I can't reverse being raped.
English

@Ecosystim well yeah they aren't literally identical in every way that's how metaphors work. the metaphor conveys that they're both deeply traumatic and personal violations of one's body. since the person in question has been through both, I think it's a parallel they're entitled to draw.
English

@Estrogentleman no, i fully believe that she has been raped, i don’t think rape is exclusive to gender and i am a proponent that male rape victims wildly underreport their assaults. i just don’t think body horror and rape are the same thing. both can be equally bad, but they’re different things
English

mandy@sh0tgunc0llr
i went through rape and male puberty as a trans woman and i can say with confidence that they are comparable levels of traumatizing
English

@Ecosystim the person comparing their puberty to rape has been through both, the only reason you could say they aren't entitled to make the comparison is because they're AMAB and you see rape as an experience only AFAB people have a right to claim.
English

@Estrogentleman nobody here is denying that trans women experience rape, we’re taking offense at calling puberty rape as if puberty can only count as horrifically traumatizing if labeled as rape. again i would really appreciate not being lumped in as female, notice that i am not calling you male
English

@Ecosystim I think the reason is that afabs seem to see rape as a definitively "female experience" that amabs don't have the right to invoke the name of even if they've been victims of rape themselves. c1s men don't have the instinct to defend femaleness from mtfs because they're amab.
English

@Ecosystim sry I needed an umbrella term for c1s women and transmascs because those are the two groups that seem to consistently use this kind of rhetoric.
English

@Ari_Halberd I mean from what I've heard troonsbian tops are in high demand from GAMP troonsbians.
English

@Estrogentleman and of course the inaccessibility of srs and the conflation of dom/sub with top/bottom doesn't help either. many have spoken of comptop but compsub (compstarfish tbh) is fucking rampant in these spaces
English

@Ari_Halberd it's interesting that they can imagine a loving uwu dommy mommy mech pilot/alien plant/whatever malebrained scifislop forcefemming them more easily than they can imagine just being a normal woman when both are equally implausible.
English

@Estrogentleman it's a nice comforting scenario that gives them some desperately needed softness and gentleness in a world designed to crush them if they dared to stray away from their supposed biodestiny
English

@Ari_Halberd but for some reason most traumatized people (especially troons, ESPECIALLY troonsbians) are obsessed with the idea of someone having power over them but they're loving and nice this time and have sex with them.
English

@Ari_Halberd idk why but somehow I didn't end up with the near-ubiquitous transbian submissive fantasy despite being a troon with an abusive childhood. My personal experience has been that when someone has power over you, they're not going to use it for your benefit.
English

@centristaybrb7 @JeremiahDJohns "I don't hate trans people I think they should be forced through a puberty that leaves them with a body that makes them want to die for the rest of their lives and they should be sent to men's prisons where they get raped every day"
English

@JeremiahDJohns I am a gay man, I dont hate trans people , I thing femboys and well built ftm can be hot, but I am against child transitions, trans women in women jails, trans women in women sports and I thing AGPs should be honest about their motives.
English

@BMcleaver @alob_e where's the problem? is there a better way for her to approach the situation in your eyes?
English

@alyssa__belle @JeremiahDJohns Please take "HBS female" out of your bio. Harry Benjamin was quite clear that if you're attracted to women you are not a type VI true transsexual!

English

@JeremiahDJohns yes because we're sick and tired of attention seekers LARPing as transsexuals and rewriting our words and definitions
English

@AezAngle @FlipAllison @JeremiahDJohns I assume she's referring to the use of the word "c1s" in describing the demographics surveyed.
English

notice how people always fight for ‘tboys’ to be lesbians but never for trans women to be lesbians
a lot of these people are homophobic (“men can be lesbians”) and/or transphobic (“trans men aren’t real men”)
pretty butch@boytoyup4grabs
since yall are arguing abt lesbians being transmasculine again.....
English

@genship_imapart @LeoRaven49 all diseases are "natural", that doesn't change the fact that they can cause extreme physical and psychological trauma.
English

@LeoRaven49 Theyre both trauma but arent similar at all in action. Puberty is a natural hormonal thing, rape is a violent action from one person to another. There is no way of comparing them, other than ur mental health was affected (differently tho)
English

@ijunamchin @LeoRaven49 it's funny how when AFABs talk about ftmtf detransitioners the effects of T are a horrible barbaric mutilation but when it comes to mtfs it's no big deal. the reason they do this is because they think mtfs deserve it for being born with Y chromosomes.
English

@LeoRaven49 ppl talking about you talking over women as if female puberty didnt have much much more extreme effect like literal blood and excruciating pain while the worst of male puberty is body hair and a deep voice like bffr
English

@roythecoolest @FaggotMadoka @LeoRaven49 right now you're telling a rape victim how they're allowed to feel about their trauma. maybe like, don't?
English

@FaggotMadoka @LeoRaven49 no???? its not?????? puberty is not rape????????? now you are allowed to feel traumatized because of what happened to you and you're allowed to feel more traumatized about puberty than rape but generally it is not more traumatic and it is your individual experience that only-
