@Aviationa2z This really looks like the illegitimate child of 787 and 350 😂

@Fahadnaimb Its current fuel consumption and additional maintenance costs leave it with no advantages.

Europe is turning up the heat on certifying China’s homegrown C919.
According to fresh reports, EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) technicians and pilots are now basically living in Shanghai... conducting near-permanent ground checks and additional flight tests on the COMAC C919 narrowbody.
This is the third phase of a four-stage process, which insiders are calling the ‘final exam’... intensive in-flight evaluations followed by deep analysis, paperwork, and technical verification.
China isn’t holding back: the CAAC has pulled in top pilots, while COMAC and China Eastern Airlines (the launch operator) are handing over real operational data.... including maintenance records, repair reports, and results from routine A and B checks on the jets already flying domestic routes since 2023. The goal? Maximum transparency to prove the aircraft’s reliability and speed up access to international markets.
It’s not just technical. Sources openly note that politics are in the mix too. Getting EASA certification would be a huge symbolic and commercial win for the C919 as it tries to chip away at the long-standing Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 duopoly in the single-aisle market.
No official timeline yet for the certificate, but this ramp-up signals real acceleration. Remember, EASA has previously suggested the full validation could still take years... potentially landing somewhere in the 2028–2031 window.
The C919 already has strong domestic momentum, but Western approval would open doors for exports and leasing deals that are currently off-limits for most non-Chinese operators.

If you’re still shocked by yesterday’s China Airlines A350 in Melbourne rolling back and mangling its L1 door on the aerobridge… have a look at this absolute classic from 2023
Back on July 9, 2023 at Dublin Airport, an American Airlines Boeing 787-8 was sitting pretty at the gate when the jet bridge decided to throw hands. The whole bridge malfunctioned and collapsed, ripping the entire second left passenger door (L2) clean off the plane. Door on the tarmac, flight to Philly cancelled instantly.
No one onboard, zero injuries... just pure chaos. These pics show exactly how brutal it looked.

@PapaBear1532821 @DjsAviation The American Airlines Flight 587 crash, the China Airlines Flight 140 and Flight 611 crashes, and other incidents prove you're absolutely right!😂🫵🏻🧠🧠🧠🧠?
English

@DjsAviation Hopefully not one airline will purchase them. Buy Airbus. A safer and much better aircraft. Boeing aircraft fall out of the sky.

@abhishekl88 @TIAG747 दिमाग एक अद्भुत चीज़ है, अफ़सोस है कि आपके पास यह नहीं है!

@TIAG747 The USA bullying countries on high tariffs and they're sucking up to buying useless Boeing aircraft to counter this. This is what happens when clowns build products and another clown leads a country. The last best product of Boeing was the legacy 777 series.

Why did Boeing go touchpad when Airbus perfected the trackball? 🤔
Look at that A350 setup.... pure heaven.
It's faster, more precise, fewer issues than 787 CCD (which has its flaky moments).
I'd swap in a heartbeat.
Boeing pilots agree or nah? Best cursor control in any cockpit you've used??

@Fahadnaimb This is a post from someone else's Xiaohongshu account; you should indicate the source of the video.

Boeing's putting in a fourth 737 MAX line in Everett this summer... they're ramping up from 38-42 a month, aiming for 63. They announced it at the Advance 2026 conference. This production surge means Boeing's making a comeback... even though the Airbus A320neo is still crushing it... Boeing's closing the gap...
