@Madara254 @zoedropped81 Don’t forget about KD’s leadership. Amazing stuff 🤣🤣🤣
English

@zoedropped81 Even if shai wins 5 chips in OKC, he will never be close the player prime KD was. Thats just how good the sleam reaper was
English

No wonder people think Shai is better than KD 😂 y'all are 13 years old

Hold on man I don’t remember OKC Kevin Durant moving like this
English

@shamlockz @tracywine145 Maybe if Tatum didn’t jack 10 threes a game he’d get more respect. How many times has that failed them in the playoffs. With his size and ability it’s just bad basketball to take that many threes.
English

@tracywine145 MY GOD THANK YOU. For every other team we praise their player who steps up, for the Celtics they just knock Tatum and say he’s getting bailed rather than praising the other guy for stepping up.
English

He’s OKC’s MVP right now and if he played with a certain guy in Boston instead of SGA my TL would be mentioning it constantly.

Alex Caruso in WCF Games 1 and 2: 24.0 PPG 3.0 APG 1.5 SPG 1.0 BPG 61.5% FG 61.1% 3PT "It's that time of year. If you're not fearless, then you're probably gonna lose and go home."
English

@tracywine145 Big difference. Almost all of Caruso’s points in this series have come off WIDE open 3s created by Shai’s gravity. It’s not comparable to what Jaylen did. Love Caruso but this is lame.

@Snakeacoldcrui1 @BallsackSports No, that would be Mr. Murray from Denver

@BallsackSports Probably also the reason Team Canada underachieved

SGA has still been masterful in his role. The Thunder are constructed so well that Shai can float around with little responsibility. There’s not a pressing need for him to create something every single possession like a guy like LeBron has had to do the majority of his career (due to poor roster construction and lack of talent/depth around him).
He’s playing with a huge safety net/buffer. His misses don’t hurt his team’s chances at winning much, but his makes are a dagger to the opponent. He’s playing loose with house money, and thats a large reason as to why he can play so calmly.
He quite literally can facilitate on the court with his presence/aura/walking skillset alone. That’s the luxury that being surrounded with talent gives you. It’s like being in an all star game/team USA.
When you’re not surrounded by that level of talent, you can’t just facilitate by your presence alone. There’s an increasing pressure to go create something that your teammates cannot.
Right now, 41 year old LeBron has a way higher amount of pressure to create each pressure, and he cannot afford to miss much if his team wants a shot at winning. Him and Shai played equal last night, but the end result was a 20 point OKC win.
But that’s what makes LeBron the greatest player to ever play this game. He plays better through REAL pressure/responsibility than any player ever. He’ll ace through that pressure every single year and carry his team to where the talent differential is CRAZY, and he HAS to do everything just to compete. He can’t just sit back and have the 15 point 20 assist games he’ll have when the talent is equal/in his favor. He’ll go out and give you 51-8-8 on 70% against the greatest team ever in the Finals. The story of his career is overcoming those talent gaps, and getting clowned when he comes up short.
Then Bron will get in all star games/world play where the talent is equalized and be the best player on the court…. And that some “superstars” benefit a TON from their supporting cast in the NBA. To no Bron fans’ surprise… basketball fans just SUCK at evaluating talent. It’s all PRA and spreadsheets with no basketball minds to contextualize the numbers/tape.
Glazing said… SGA was GREAT in the finals when his team’s back was against the wall and he had to create. He had that midrange and 3 pointer that were essentially must makes and prevented his team from going down 3-1. Everybody just seems to gloss over his game 4 finals moment because basketball is all narratives to social media. But he literally was CLUTCH asf when the season was truly on the line.
And sure, he shot 7–20 last night, but some of those were just misses. A few of those go in, we re-write the narrative. His process was great. He’s an all time great talent who, yes, does have a stacked roster, but is also playing his ROLE masterfully to optimize the team’s chances of winning.
Just because he doesn’t have to do more, does not mean he can’t.

Ajay Mitchell has been better than SGA in this series. Like no hyperbole. On both sides. Chet has also been better than SGA. The league MVP. He’s 6/19 and his team is still up 11 after 3.
English

@Sandwichauve @Chez_ib You picked one game to say he cracks. Even the most clutch players in history have off shooting nights in huge spots. Kobe had a terrible shooting night Game 7 v Boston. MJ shot terribly Game 7 v Indiana. But like Shai, they won those games and found other ways to contribute
English

@Sandwichauve @Chez_ib The game is more than makes and misses. He was in absolute control of that game. 12 assists with only 1 turnover. The shooting was obviously off but he missed like 8 in a row in the 4th when they were up big and giving him the ball at end of shot clock.

@HtrVgs71902 @StoolGreenie I’m seeing Detroit at 15-18 with a 102 rating. That team was all about defense with a balanced offensive approach. Can’t imagine they were 4th
English

@Eth_ream @StoolGreenie Pistons were 4th, I think Denver and the Mavs are the only exceptions
English

@racjac24 My favorite team ever! Still remember almost being in tears when they lost to Duke in the Final Four the year after bombing them in the title game. That was supposed to be an undefeated season! I still tell myself they threw that game 🤣

Can be argued the best CBB team of all time. Definitely up there. Larry Johnson...was a joke how good he was

Jaylen Brown Speaks on Players Manipulating the Game After Celtic Thunder Matchup
“we commend players for playing the game the right way but we give the benefit to those who try to manipulate the game into their advantage. I just don't think it’s basketball. Like let's just play basketball. All the foul baiting, I think it’s whatever for me.”
English

@racjac24 Yeah, they SHOULD even out but I feel like they go against me way more. Maybe it’s because I like to play dogs
