This week, we lost a legend. An extremely passionate fan of horse racing and the punt, but more importantly, a great friend. We met and bonded through this shared passion. This man was the epitome of genuine, the kind of man who'd take the shirt off his back to give to you. From day one, he treated me like family. He was humble, wise, and truly one of a kind. He carried a radiant energy and a smile where time spent with him was gauranteed to be full of laughter and unforgettable memories. He was a catalyst in my decision to get in to horse ownership, because nothing compares to sharing that thrill with good people like Neville by your side. Today will be emotional for all who knew him, with his war horse He's a Doozy going around. Amber will don the black armband, and I'll don his go to ale, Panhead Supercharger in hand. My thoughts go out to all who knew him.

Just wanted to give a shout out to my friend Samantha Logan . Sam trained a double today at Hawera including this very good win by Katamuku 5yo mare by Swiss Ace in R2 . Always hard to get a maiden winner to go back to back but she did win again today and with some ease , her other winner was Mille Grazie in R6 . Sam also trains 2 horses ive blackbooked recently Flanagan and Ascension, keep an eye out for them in the coming months .

Looking at another 1 by 3 play down south at Riccarton. R2 - Miss Ziggy - $8.50/$2.35 She's one of the better 3yos in the south and slightly disrespected in the market here. If you remove the northern runs and group races her record is super. Home track here and at her pet distance.. shes well capable of finishing this race off strongly..

A couple at Pukekohe to have a stab at as 1 by 2, 1 by 3 plays. Pefectmanz going back to R65 company appeals on the Top4 at $3.70, can do worse than a bet on the nose too at $21s+. Solid run last time although making it a habit of finding bad luck. Gets a strong jockey upgrade in Ryan Elliott. The other is Lupo Solatario, he's looking race fit now after the HK stint and hes always had a good affinity with the Puke track. Strong jockey engagement suggests hes a big top3 chance @ $6.00/$2.30
