Commercial Bank of Eth (CBE) had a record year, crossing ETB 117 bn in revenues for the first time in its history. CBE is the largest bank in Eth with total assets of ETB 1.2tn profits of ETB 27bn, a y-o-y growth of over 46%! It is the financial engine powering the our economy.

Despite an unsettled operating environment, the Chemical Industry Corporation secured an 18% increase in operating profit in EFY 2014.

Ethiopian Trading and Business Corporation (ETBC), the country’s premier commodity and FMCG trading corporation has achieved over 3.52 million quintals in commodities sales and registered a record ETB 165 million in profit this year.

Ethiopian Electric Utility closed 2014 EFY on a new high. It welcomed 330 thousand new customers and generated sales of ETB 29.2 billion. #Ethiopia

The Ethio Shipping & Logistics Enterprise handles most of Ethiopia’s multimodal ocean freight. ESLSE posted ETB 51 Bn in revenue, a 128% increase compared to last year. ESLSE has transported more than 3.6 Mn tons of cargo & registered a net profit of ETB 3 Bn (121% YoY growth).

Ethio Telecom closed a tough year with outstanding results. It realized revenue of ETB 61 billion, launched game changing products like Tele Birr ,served 67 million subscriptions – well on track to realizing its transition from a telecom provider to the backbone of digitization.

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s leading Airlines, posted USD 5 Bill in revenue this financial year, a 79% growth compared to last year. Profit grew by 90%, reaching USD 937 Mil despite the headwinds of worsening global economic outlook, rising fuel cost, global pandemic.#Ethiopia
