PAINLESS was at the #EAPC2026 Congress in Prague A fantastic week of learning and exchange with clinicians and researchers from across the world. We were proud to be part of the table takeover and the PPI session, and a special mention to Maite Carrillo for moderating a panel 👏

🟣 Yesterday, the USC team wrapped up the 1st Pain Neuroscience Course! 🤓 A great space to learn about pain, neuromodulation, and non-pharmacological approaches — and a step towards shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals 💫

Yesterday, a colloquium at IPsiUS brought together five women researchers, including Maite Carrillo de la Peña. A valuable space to reflect on women’s careers in research, cultural expectations, and the need for stronger investment in science.

The pain training course at the USC continued with Modules 3 and 4, led by Sara, Unai, and Alejandro. We explored active coping strategies in pain management, including pain education, nutrition, sleep, mindfulness, and physical exercise, through several practical activities

This week, USC team together with IDIS, launched the Course on Pain Neuroscience and Alternative Strategies for Chronic Pain Management, held at the University of Santiago de Compostela. This course is aimed at undergraduate students in Psychology, Nursing, Medicine and Pharmacy.

IOB team took part in the ARIPI patient conference, organised by ARCOF. The event brought together patients and healthcare professionals, highlighting the value of an integrated, patient-centred approach. IOB delivered a well-received talk on pain management showcasing PAINLESS

We are very happy to welcome Lucía as a new member of the @idis_research - PAINLESS team, where she will be working on patient recruitment and clinical assessment. Lucía is a biotechnologist with a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and will be supporting the project activities👏

This week marked the start of the mobility agreement between the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), the USC PAINLESS team, and Mobify, supporting our team’s travel across Galicia to assess new patients. This week, we were able to visit hospitals in Ourense and Vigo 😎.
