Career update: I've joined @dbt_labs to work on reasoning and the future of agentic analytics 🚀🧠 My five years at @atlanhq taught me everything I know about shipping software. I joined as an intern during my sophomore year in 2021 and helped them grow the current product from $0 to $50M+ ARR. Reasoning infrastructure is a new domain for me: hybrid retrieval, model-ensemble validation, and reasoning chains you can audit end-to-end, this is the new territory for me, and I want to be deep in it for the next few years. Expect a lot more writings on context graphs, reasoning systems, and traceable agent infrastructure as I learn. Very excited for this next chapter.

"Context graphs" are suddenly everywhere. So I wanted to check receipts. I pulled up our @TechCrunch article from 2021 announcing our Series A. Right there in the article: customers describing Atlan as a "data context" layer before the term even existed. The category we evangelized in small rooms is having its main-stage moment. So what changed? ➡️In the pre-AI world, context was a painkiller. Helpful, necessary, occasionally appreciated. Nice to have when things broke. Easy to deprioritize when budgets got tight. ➡️In the post-AI world, context is the pacemaker. Without it, nothing works. Your AI doesn't know what "revenue" means in your company. Your agents hallucinate. Your copilots confidently serve up nonsense. Context went from "we should probably document this" to "this is the entire bottleneck." Being early only matters if you build something that works in production, at scale, with real customers. That's the part I'm proud of. To every customer who bet on this early: thank you.
