@robkhenderson + @freyaindiaa Iceland is beautiful, with great spas & lagoons & not cheap to stay there. What does couples do? 99% are in the lagoon with smartphones ready for the next insta-story instead of real relaxation. -- Even the lagoon owners recommend to disconnect (maybe for once..)

@Eukalyptea @nickstefan Ja, ziemlich teuer. Aber das Geld Wert. Zweimal mit großer Kapelle gesehen - Top. und eben zuletzt mit "Sting 3.0" zurück zu Police-Wurzeln: Bass-Gitarre-Drums. 3 Personen auf der Bühne. Und top fit mit 73 (!!)

@Eukalyptea @nickstefan Ich weiß von dem Film, weil ich mal ein Mädchen trainiert habe (mit einem Profi-Musiker-Papa), die diesen Konzert-Film schon als kleines Kind geliebt hat (vermutlich eher die Musi von Sting, den ich schon 3 Mal live gesehen habe - zuletzt mit Sting 3.0).

@gedanken_lost @nickstefan Danke. Wow so treffsicher bin ich da nicht. Okay, hab definitiv andere Assoziationen dazu (führt jetzt zu weit).. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich (nach bring on the night) auch diesen Film gesehen habe, aber ich mag sowohl Sting als auch Chris Botti. Könnte an beiden liegen.

@Eukalyptea @nickstefan Es gibt einen Konzertfilm u.a. auf DVD von diesem Konzert "... all this time" Gruselig, weil komplett unter dem Eindruck von 9/11 gespielt. Eh schon sehr intim insgesamt. Sie wollten erst nur Fragile spielen, und dann das Publikum entscheiden lassen. Die wollten: mehr Musik.

@gedanken_lost @nickstefan Ja, stimmt. Das kommt in irgendeinem Mitschnitt/making of/ Video oder Film vor.. ich glaub, sie wollten einen Film drehen von diesem Konzert und dann ist das passiert und deswegen ist es drin?

Fragile wird für mich - kannte den Song lange vorher - immer sehr intensiv mit dem Abend von 9/11 verbunden sein; Sting hat da ein Privat-Konzert in auf seinem Landsitz in der Toskana gegeben und überlegt, abzubrechen... youtube.com/watch?v=ubWucJ…

I will say this. I have a lot to learn from some of the younger more thoughtful gen-Z/Gen Alpha kids. I’m reading @freyaindiaa’s new book and she’s right—it has been different for them. But I won’t contort myself into a monster to curry their favor.
