[RELIEVE] 📢 EHMA launches a new Call to Action to establish a European vaccination coverage target for pneumococcal disease in adults. Despite being vaccine-preventable, pneumococcal disease continues to place a significant burden on health systems across Europe, especially among adults aged 65 and over. With an ageing population and growing health system pressures, adult vaccination must become a greater public health priority. EHMA, in collaboration with a wide network of endorsing partners, is calling on European policymakers to set a 75% pneumococcal vaccination coverage target for adults aged 65+. This target will help drive coordinated action, reduce disease burden, and strengthen prevention strategies across Member States.
