@KurosaiSenpai no they didnt admit AI use in backgrounds prior to controversy, you are misinterpreting what was said. They were referring only to concept art not final product.

Also, If Ironmouse lied about the contract, which she already signed(?) Hotta/NTE could sue her for damages over the backlash, no? Would her team really risk that? Hotta publicly admitted limited AI use in backgrounds, but now intends to remove/rework the relevant assets; pretty strong evidence that there is, at the very least, miscommunication going on. For as many times as some of your favorite content creators have appeared in court cases, you'd think you'd know a bit more about the law.
