Two Sunday activities you could try this weekend: 1. Watching Model Y owners back into Superchargers 2. Watching weekend family boaters launch their boat at the ramp

@TheArkeTraveler Walmart is absolutely tearing it up this Mother’s Day weekend! Forget the last-minute flowers and the crowded brunch spots—Walmart is rolling out the ultimate gift: a completely valid, unarguable excuse for moms to escape the house. “Sorry everyone, the battery is looking a little low. I *have* to go plug in.” Boom. That is 30 minutes of glorious, uninterrupted silence. No kids fighting in the back seat, no one asking what's for dinner—just peace and quiet. They aren't just deploying premium hardware; they are building modern-day sanctuaries for moms who just need a break, and they just opened several brand-new getaway spots this weekend: * **Supercenter 1896 in Colorado Springs, CO:** Moms pulling a trailer or driving a larger family hauler can enjoy the new pull-through stalls! Featuring 4 ABB A400s for 8 stalls at $0.47/kWh. * **Supercenter 5141 in Omaha, NE:** Midwestern moms can soak up the silence at this newly live site, featuring 4 ABB A400 units for 8 stalls at an excellent $0.46/kWh. * **Supercenter 1770 in Cranberry Township, PA:** Hitting the massive milestone of the 40th live site, moms in the Northeast can hide out at 4 Alpitronic Hyperchargers across 8 stalls for $0.51/kWh. * **Neighborhood Market 2741 in Bentonville, AR:** The 3rd Bentonville location to open in just 5 days! Moms here can snag an absolute steal at $0.32/kWh off-peak, plus score that 10% Walmart+ discount while they relax. This weekend is a massive one in our house, since Mother's Day happens to land right on Cathy's 61st birthday! I’m already warning her that with a double-duty celebration on the calendar, if she mysteriously volunteers to take The Scarlet Knight on a "quick grocery run" this Sunday and ends up chilling at a fast charger for an hour to enjoy the ultimate gift of solitude, I am totally onto her scheme. Happy Mother’s Day (and a very Happy Birthday to Cathy!) to all the EV moms out there pulling top-tier charging curves and soaking up some well-deserved peace!

Just saw regular gas hitting $5.09/gal in University Park on GasBuddy... 🥴 Meanwhile, I’m cruising right past the pumps in The Scarlet Knight (my Chevy **Blazer EV** 2LT AWD) spending absolutely $0 to drive. Why exactly $0? Because I work for an incredibly forward-thinking company that genuinely cares about sustainability and its employees! They provide 100% FREE Level 2 charging while I'm in the office. I literally pull up, plug in, and let them cover my "fuel" costs for the daily commute. Huge props to a workplace that actually invests in a greener future. 🔌👏 The **Blazer EV** flex is real: instant AWD torque, zero engine noise, massive savings, and doing what's best for the planet. 🌍⚡️ Never going back. #EVTexans #BlazerEV #ChevyBlazerEV #DFW #WorkPerks #EVLife #ZeroEmissions ...

Last night’s storms in Bentonville made construction spotting at Store 100 much easier than normal. Looks like 4 units will be installed here. I’ve seen the plans, but they are not following them because this was supposed to be on the perimeter of the lot!

. Corporate giants like Walmart don't spend billions of dollars on a whim, and they certainly don't do it just for the PR. They are rolling out their own EV fast-charging network by 2030 because they see exactly where the math is heading, and the business case is simply undeniable. To the naysayers, Walmart's strategy boils down to a few cold, hard advantages: 1. A Captive Audience (The Dwell-Time Strategy) When an EV driver plugs into a fast charger, they typically have 20 to 30 minutes to wait. Walmart knows that if you're charging in their lot, you're highly likely to walk inside to grab a coffee, use the restroom, or knock out your weekly grocery shopping. They are literally turning "charging time" into "shopping time," creating a massive new funnel for store foot traffic and sales. 2. The Ultimate Real Estate Footprint Roughly 90% of Americans live within 10 miles of a Walmart or Sam's Club. While other charging networks have to lease land and negotiate complex real estate deals, Walmart already owns prime, easily accessible parking lots across the entire country. This perfectly positions them to solve the "charging desert" problem in rural areas and small towns, giving them a structural advantage that no competitor can match. 3. Total Infrastructure Control Instead of just renting out parking spaces to third-party networks (like they previously did with Electrify America), Walmart is building its own 400 kW DC fast-charging network. By cutting out the middleman and owning the hardware, they can: Control the pricing to offer their signature "everyday low prices" on electricity. Integrate charging discounts and perks directly into Walmart+ memberships. Ensure the stations are well-lit, front-and-center, and reliably maintained. 4. Future-Proofing Their Own Supply Chain Walmart is in the process of transitioning its own massive delivery fleet to electric, with strict zero-emissions goals set for 2040. Building out heavy-duty electrical infrastructure now ensures their properties are prepped to power their own electric semi-trucks and local delivery vans in the coming decades. At the end of the day, Walmart isn't gambling on an unproven technology. They are leveraging their massive real estate empire to capture a rapidly growing market, positioning themselves to be the ultimate fueling station of the future. The naysayers might still be arguing about adoption curves, but the biggest retailer in the world has already done the math.

## **LEAKED: Walmart Announces "Great Value" Human-Powered EV Charging** In a move that’s being called "revolutionary" by corporate and "deeply concerning" by everyone else, **Walmart** has officially announced its new **Rollback Rates Energy Program.** Starting today, April 1st, at select Supercenters, the standard electric charging pedestals are being replaced with the **GV-Pedal-Power Station.** ### **How It Works** Forget waiting 30 minutes for a DC Fast Charge. Walmart is putting the "power" back in the hands (and feet) of the people. 1. **The Dock:** Pull your Tesla or Rivian into the designated "Blue Vest Lane." 2. **The Connection:** Instead of a plug, a Walmart associate hooks a massive, industrial-grade rubber belt from your front axle to a stationary **high-resistance unicycle** located at the front of the parking spot. 3. **The "Spark" Discount:** To receive the "Great Value" charging rate of $0.05/kWh, the driver (or a designated family member) must vigorously pedal the unicycle for the duration of the charge. ### **The Tiers of Charging** | Tier | Method | Speed | Cost | |---|---|---|---| | **Spark Sprint** | You pedal the unicycle. | 2 miles per hour of pedaling. | $0.05/kWh | | **Family Value** | Up to 4 family members on a tandem treadmill. | 10 miles per hour of pedaling. | $0.15/kWh | | **The Manager Special** | You pay a local teenager $5 and a Slim Jim to do it for you. | Varies by cardio level. | Market Rate | ### **"Work While You Wait"** Walmart spokesperson "April Fuerst" stated: > "Why sit in your car scrolling on your phone when you could be closing your rings? It’s the ultimate Rollback. We’re rolling back the technology to 1885 to save you cents on the dollar!" > **Note:** Walmart is not responsible for calf cramps, dehydration, or the social embarrassment of pedaling a stationary bike in a parking lot while wearing Crocs. ***Happy April Fools!***

## **BREAKING: Landon from "The Arkansas e-traveler" Announces 2028 Presidential Bid on the EV Party Ticket** **LITTLE ROCK** — The EV world was rocked this morning when **Landon**, the face behind the popular YouTube channel *The Arkansas e-traveler*, swapped his charging cable for a campaign podium. Standing atop a mountain of lithium-ion batteries, Landon officially announced his candidacy for the 2028 Presidential Election under the newly formed **EV Party** (The Electric Vehicle & Visionary Party). ### **The Platform: "Charge Ahead, No Stops Required"** Landon’s campaign slogan, **"Full Range for a Full Nation,"** aims to tackle the country's problems with the same precision he uses to track kilowatt-hours. * **The Mandatory "Frunk" Policy:** Landon promises that by 2029, every American citizen will be issued a "Federal Frunk"—a portable, insulated storage space for road-trip snacks and extra charging adapters. * **National Highway Speed Reform:** To optimize hyper-miling across the Midwest, Landon proposes "Drafting Lanes," where citizens are legally encouraged to tailgate semi-trucks to save 4% on their national energy bill. * **The "Scarlet Knight" Cabinet:** While he hasn't named a VP, rumors are swirling that he’s looking for a running back from Texas who drives a red Blazer EV to head the Department of Transportation. ### **The Campaign Trail (Literally)** Unlike traditional candidates who use private jets, Landon has pledged to visit all 50 states using only a **Level 1 wall outlet**. > "It might take me three years to get to New Hampshire," Landon told a group of shivering supporters at a non-functional Electrify America station. "But I will arrive with 100% battery and zero emissions. Also, does anyone have an extension cord? I’m at 2%." > ### **Controversy in the Pits** The campaign faced its first "scandal" minutes after the announcement when an investigative journalist pointed out that Landon once used a gas-powered lawnmower in a 2022 video. Landon’s press secretary—a sentient CCS-to-NACS adapter—dismissed the claims as "low-voltage propaganda." ### **Early Polling** The EV Party is currently surging in the polls, specifically among people who enjoy sitting in Walmart parking lots for 40 minutes at a time. However, he is struggling with the "Internal Combustion" caucus, who find his lack of exhaust noise "suspiciously polite." *Disclaimer: This campaign is funded by "Friends of the Regenerative Brake." If you've read this far, Happy April Fools'!*
