@eaglemmoomin @CPFC He’s intense.He can never ‘check out’ of winning football matches though which is why I found that narrative being peddled nonsensical. Original comments post Sunderland stemmed from frustration at losing and he likely had goal that came down what was Guehi’s side fresh in mind.

@JonBirtles @CPFCHQ I was also in the home end with a mate. Atmosphere was a bit nervy at first but grew and was good with the goal but it died with the penalty and red card. Could literally see the hope fade. Then got volatile when the 2nd went in.

I've been in some toxic atmospheres at Palace but I promise you, nothing will be as toxic as what I witnessed tonight. Fans wanted the players to die from the first whistle.

The attacker cannot be beyond the last but one opposition player, ergo the defender can set their line wherever they want. The same as it’s always been. The attacker will have to time their runs, the same as it always been. It is a nonsense narrative

This new rule will give attackers a significant advantage so teams will be forced to play a deeper line and sit behind the attacker.

First season he relied on the players already being conditioned by the previous manager’s methods.
Second season they became unfit & unable to sustain a more front-foot style.

I (and every other Palace fan) show appreciation to Michael Olise, Ebere Eze & Marc Guehi for what they’ve done for Palace because they all left in a respectful manner.
I would have no major problem with Mateta and his dozens of missed big chances if he hadn’t spent the last 6 months trying to whore himself out to anyone who’ll listen, turning his nose up at 100k as a contract offer and throwing bitch-fits on Instagram at us saying we need a replacement before letting him leave.
