The problem: no evidence has been made public that he directed or facilitated any military operation against Israel. Being affiliated with Hezbollah-linked media is not the same as being a combatant. أصدرت اللجنة المركزية للإعلام والتواصل في التيار الوطني الحر البيان الآتي: مرة جديدة يدفع الإعلام اللبناني ضريبة الحرب الإسرائيلية غالياً من دماء الزملاء الصحافيين. إن تعمد استهداف الزملاء الشهداء فاطمة فتوني وشقيقها المصور محمد وعلي شعيب، هو جريمة حرب موصوفة وبالغة الوضوح، ولم يعد بإمكان الحكومة أن تكتفي بالتفرج على الجرائم المتكررة. إن الحكومة مدعوة للتوجه إلى كل الهيئات الدولية المعنية وفضح هذه الجرائم، كما نناشد المؤسسات الإعلامية الدولية المعنية بحرية الصحافيين وأمنهم التدخل وفضح الإستهداف المتكرر للصحافيين اللبنانيين
