Excited to share that I am beginning a full-time position outside of journalism with the Lowell Housing Authority. I will remain as a freelancer now with The Eagle-Tribune and have other personal thoughts/posts on here. Thank you to everyone who helped me get to this point.

Armstrong got the shot off. Great game. Thank you all for following along with me and @mid_madness during this America East season. It was the honor of my life to cover this stupid dumb low-major league for this website, and I can't wait to do it next year.

Its a good morning to be the America East Fantasy League CHAMPION!!! So happy that we have a goup of 12 guys across 5 different schools that participate in this league. We gotta send no less than 5000 messages during the season in the group chat. Tons of banter, tons of fun

Have told this story many times, but I was in first grade. I somehow convinced the teacher to let me check the halftime score on the classroom computer at recess. I learned of the shot when my mom picked me up from school at the end of the day. I couldn’t focus in the afternoon waiting to know.

March 10, 2011: The Kemba Walker Shot like you've never seen. Fifteen years ago today I was courtside for the afternoon tip at MSG between UConn-Pitt and took this video from press row.

@Matt_Gajewski Hey Matt. I wouldn’t necessarily say he had a role change. When available, he’s started every game. He had 16&14 on 2/26 and 20&13 on 2/21. Only played under 20 mins once since 12/6. Green hasn’t been injured this season, just has been out a few games due to personal reasons.

UMass Lowell (+8.0) vs. UMBC (147.5) Injuries UMass Lowell - Austin Green UMBC - Daylon Dickerson Notes: AEC Semi-Final - UMBC is at home. - UMBC beat UMass Lowell 79-56 & 84-60. UMass Lowell did not have Austin Green in the second, but they weren’t close in either. - #318 UMass Lowell is 15-17 and beat #324 Albany to get here. They have 4 sub-300 losses & 1 top 300 win over #296 Sacred Heart. UMass Lowell is 348th in strength of schedule. - #198 UMBC is 22-8 and beat #350 New Hampshire to get here. They have 1 sub-300 loss to #355 Bryant. UMBC has 1 top 300 win over #232 Vermont and ranks 365th in strength of schedule. - UMass Lowell is 332nd in height & 114th in rebounding. UMBC is 217th in height & 121st in rebounding. UMass Lowell outranks UMBC 112 to 344 in offensive rebounding, but UMBC outranks UMass Lowell 9 to 123 in defensive rebounding. - UMass Lowell is 231st in Effective FG%, 218th in 2pt%, & 278th in 3pt%. They are 341st in 3pt rate. UMass Lowell will play in transition & attack the offensive glass. They use drives & cuts to attack the rim in a guard-dominant offense. Xavier Spencer (37.2%) is their only decent shooter. Angel Montas & Austin Green are decent inside. - UMBC is 183rd in total defense, 91st inside, & 98th on the perimeter. They limit transitions & rebounds, but guards that can drive/cut can give them a few issues. Jose Roberto Tanchyn (6-10) is the top AEC defender. DJ Armstrong (6-4) & Caden Diggs (6-8) aren’t far behind. - UMBC is 80th in Effective FG%, 89th in 2pt%, & 87th in 3pt%. They are 199th in 3pt rate. UMBC uses a lot of ISOs, post-ups, & inside/outs. Ace Valentine (39.8%), DJ Armstrong (39.9%) & even the forwards can shoot a bit. - UMass Lowell is 308th in total defense, 285th inside, & 185th on the perimeter. They’re vulnerable in transition, on the glass, & via post-ups. Victor Okojie (6-8) is a decent rim protector, but it isn’t enough. - Neither team forces many turnovers, but UMBC outranks UMass Lowell 29 to 266 in turnovers committed. Fouls do not project to play a major role. - UMass Lowell is 80th in tempo, while UMBC is 256th. UMBC has sped to 217th over the last six weeks. Model Prediction UMass Lowell - 68.6 UMBC - 71.6 Bet: UMBC -8.0

No one has an easier first call than BC athletic director Blake James. In fact, he should just take the 30-minute drive to North Andover and meet Joe Gallo at Tripoli's.
Jeff Goodman@GoodmanHoops

Boston College has fired Earl Grant, sources told @Thefieldof68.

Grant was 72-92 in five seasons with the Eagles.

BC finished 11-20 this season, 4-14 and did not qualify for the NCAA tourney. He was a surprising hire in 2022 by current Penn State AD Pat Kraft.

@EvanApplebaum2 Have you ever seen him play or you’re just going on some other alleged reference? He’s not tall enough he gets inside. Doesn’t have an outside shot at all. End of story.

With the news of Kevair Kennedy being named the MAAC Player of the Year, the first frosh to ever win the award, I have to quote tweet this once again. A good laugh on this Wednesday afternoon. 😉
jimthegeminiishere@jimthegeminiis1

@EvanApplebaum2 If Kennedy is that good, he wouldn’t be at Merrimack. If he shows promise he’ll do what Budd Clark and move on. Your post today is a an a board of attempt to make yourself relevant here on X where you are virtually I unknown.

Montas finishes conference play averaging an even 20.0 PPG and 6.1 RPG. Shot 51% from the field on an absurd 248 attempts (110 more than any of the 6 players in front of him). Three 30+ point nights. #1 scorer in the America East #6 rebounder in the America East @CBKReport

Great story: UMass Lowell’s Angel Montas has a younger cousin that is a baseball megaprospect. They were raised together. Sharing the same first and last name, Angel Montas is a 14 year old that was signed by @BlueJays for $5.7 mil. They’re both represented by @VictorySportsM.

Angel Montas is an obscenely good offensive player. This shot was crazy. Also loved the whole play — Green with the tough board, Yepdo pushes and makes a solid pass, Montas attacks, which is good River Hawk basketball.

UMass Lowell’s Angel Montas should be the America East POTY. 1st in PPG at 20.2. Shooting a ridiculous 53% from the field on 191 attempts (6th in conference, 80 more than anyone in the top 5). 6th in RPG at 6.3. Can take over any game and give you 30. Elite offensive talent.
