Grateful to now have the support of both Ohio Senators. I look forward to working alongside Senator Husted this November as we defend our Republican majorities in the House and Senate: “Eric Conroy has spent his life answering the call to serve. From Cincinnati to the U.S. Air Force, the CIA, and some of the world’s most dangerous places, Eric has always put his country first. He understands what it takes to keep families safe. I’m proud to endorse Eric Conroy for Congress because Southwest Ohio deserves a proven leader who will fight for working families and put America first.” – U.S. Senator Jon Husted (@JonHusted)

I am praying for the continued safety of President Trump, the First Lady, Vice President Vance, and everyone who was at the dinner and in the hotel. This type of violent behavior and rhetoric cannot continue in our country. There is no place for it in the United States of America, and we must all work together to put an end to it. #OH01

Proud to have the support of former Congressman Steve Chabot (@SteveChabot), the last Republican to represent Ohio’s 1st District, a fellow West Sider and GCL graduate who nominated Eric to the United States Air Force Academy. He has seen Eric’s leadership from the very beginning and knows the kind of service and commitment he brings to our country and our community. #OH01

“I am proud to announce my full and total endorsement of Eric Conroy for Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. As a candidate personally endorsed by President Donald J. Trump, Eric is a proven fighter who will champion the "America First" agenda in Washington. From lowering costs for Ohio families to securing our borders and protecting our constitutional rights, Eric has the vision and the backbone to deliver real results. It is time to send a true patriot to Congress who puts the people of the Tri-State area first. Join me in supporting Eric Conroy for OH-1.” -Congressman David Taylor OH-2 (@DaveTaylorOH)

Rep. Ty @mathews4ohio and I have introduced legislation to end any question that results from an Elected Official being called to Military Service and involuntarily missing their official duties. Ohio protects private sector employees who are called up to service but the law is not clear on elected officials. Rep. Mathews and I have crafted language to give clear protections to our men and women in uniform to prevent the involuntary vacating of their elected office and provide the ability to join meetings and participate virtually should that be possible. For Immediate Release: April 15, 2026 State Representatives David Thomas (R-Jefferson) and Ty Mathews (R-Findlay) today announced that they introduced a new piece of legislation, the Military Service Elected Office Protection Act, which aims to protect the seat of an elected official in Ohio should that elected member be ordered to active military service for our country. The proposed legislation follows a situation in Parma, Ohio, involving the Parma City School Board and a member of the Board who is on deployment. Rep. Mathews and Rep. Thomas have sent a letter to the board addressing the matter and outlining the proposed legislation. “It should not take a state law change to enforce common sense, but if that is what it takes, we are committed to supporting our military service members and their public service,” said Representative David Thomas. “The bill aims to provide clarity in these types of situations. As we await next steps on the bill, I, out of respect for our military men and women, ask you to refrain from any potential removal of this member.” “When our service members deploy, they carry the responsibility of protecting this country. The least we can do is protect their place in the communities they were elected to serve. This legislation ensures that military duty is respected, that representation continues, and that Ohio remains a state that honors those willing to step forward when called,” said Representative Ty Mathews. If passed, this legislation would do the following: -Prohibit any elected office from being declared vacant due to active-duty military deployment or reserve service obligations -Affirm that military service constitutes a valid absence for purposes of attendance requirements -Authorize and require public bodies to permit deployed members of the armed forces to attend and vote in meetings when feasible This bill awaits a number and committee assignment. ohiohouse.gov/members/david-…

Following yesterday’s great news, our campaign continues to build serious momentum. We outraised every primary opponent combined and have assembled the strongest financial operation in the race. We are focused on winning the primary in May and taking this fight into November in the strongest possible position.

Is Steven Erbeck Funding His Campaign With Illegal Contributions? Erbeck still hasn't filed the required financial disclosure, now over six months late. Republicans deserve answers. "Erbeck's spending isn't the sign of a winning campaign. It's a red flag. Republicans need to know the truth before it's too late." mailchi.mp/ericconroy/erb…

@ClayTravis Insane. In Ohio, you still can't bet on player props for college sports.

No online sports bets in Ohio is insane. Is it 1986? The result is twofold: 1. people will cross state lines to place sports bets, meaning tax dollars go to states that border Ohio instead of Ohio, or 2. even more people will go to offshores, which also crushes revenue.
Morgan Trau@MorganTrau

NOW: Ohio Republican lawmakers are introducing two different bills to overhaul the sports gaming/gambling system: - No online bets - Ban on in-game, prop and parlay bets - Limits wagers to $100 - No ads during games - No using credit cards to bet @WEWS @WCPO @OhioCapJournal

200 agencies participated in the last OHLQ bonus release. Each store had over 100 bottles. FOMO is real, but no need to be at a store hours before. Watch for the official announcement and be ready to go. Plenty of good bottles likely to be had. Even if you are not first in line 😆.
