@GMB This is hardly a new idea! Fund school nursing and health visiting properly. Self care and managing minor ailments is part of our remit (or it was when we had enough staff).

Children could soon be taught to manage minor ailments under a new initiative to ease the burden on the NHS. Kids will be taught the difference between conditions that are self-treatable and ones that might require a trip to the GP.
