When did it become a thing to replace existing lawns with fake grass? I've heard of several neighbours doing this lately. Replacing green space with plastic grass- what is driving this worrying trend? Our society is increasingly disconnected from nature, with no #SpaceForNature

#Titanoboa is simply too much snake This extinct snake was the largest ever in-the-land-of-ever. 12.8 meters and over 1100kg* that’s a big noodle. *all estimates based on size of vertebrae I cannot over emphasis that is simply TOO MUCH SNAKE. #FossilFriday

I truly hope one day as a society that we can appreciate human diversity and the unique display of identity as much as we do with the biodiversity of the natural world and all the wildlife we are so greatly enamored with, it would be wonderful to witness. #sciencetwitter

#ShutDownSTEM does not simply mean stop working or attending meetings, but to take the time to listen to your black scientist colleagues. Make an active effort to create that space and to listen to our lived experiences.

Life for snakes in the desert is rough, especially this time of year when measurable rain hasn’t touched certain areas in ~6 months. We gave this Coachwhip a quick drink before moving it off the road.
