Destiny of an Emperor got accepted for the Questing for Glory marathon in November, looking forward to running it!

Very sad to see romhacking.net shutting down under not so great circumstances. It was the go to place for so much... romhacks of your favorite games, translations of games that never made it to your region, bug fix patches, and more... they will be missed.

Forgot to mention, but I had a great time at #RPGLB2024 a couple weeks ago. Had a great time hanging out with the DQ crew (plus extended DQ family), doing some practice room races, and of course had fun watching the DQ3 and DW4 runs live.

Was fun to finally play the arcade version of Monkey Ball. It was much harder without the gamecube joystick notches.

Wow... a surprise Star Ocean 2 free update that makes a great game even better. Can't wait to get owned by Chaos difficulty.

Somebody thought it was a great idea to TP a house in early February. It hasn't rained in the three weeks since, because it's February, so now there's toilet paper all over the neighborhood. In about ten minutes I'll drive past a sign that says "The cleanest city in Indiana".

I respect the GDQ tech team talking about the resolution switching problem, I've had headaches myself dealing with it in modern capture. But I do find it funny the only time it was in a live GDQ was a 2011 NG+ run, when old equipment didn't have the issue. theverge.com/2024/1/19/2404…

That is to say... I loved it and would highly recommend, even for a first Star Ocean game.

Finished the Star Ocean 2 Remake last night. Never played the PS1 or PSP versions (though I'm not new to the series) but it might be the best remake I've played. So many great QoL improvements: visuals, gameplay, music... and complaints are minor. Postgame now and maybe replay.
