This is Misinformation and most likely a skill issue. It is NOT a trap. It is an opportunity. If you don't want unplanned bills, set up a Lightsail instance with a fixed monthly bill that is still covered by the credits. It's the same as hosting on DigitalOcean or Hetzner. Plus, you have access to Ai tools and other services AWS offers.

Just found out @aiven_io gives you 1 GB of Postgres for free, and many other databases are free to start.

Your startup doesn't need Kubernetes. You need 2 EC2 instances and a load balancer, but your CTO read a Netflix blog post and now you're debugging CrashLoopBackOff at 3 AM.
