@FranmilsEyebrow I really didn't like the Jace pick at the time, but I can't wait to see him play this year. Hope he makes me look like an absolute fool.

Sorry, it left without you.

The Chase DeLauter AL Rookie of the Year train is about to leave the station.
English

@BaseballWRLD_ Chase Delauter plays 130+ games and wins AL ROY with a WAR over 6.
English

@PhenoMVP If he stays healthy, he's better than Roman Anthony. Don't think people are ready for that conversation, but the kid is an absolute superstar in the making.

Doubters stay on that side.
He’s arrived.

Travis Bazzana's second homer of the day is a GRAND SLAM!
English

@FranmilsEyebrow I think exclusively because of health, Bazzana. If you tell me both are guaranteed to stay as healthy as a normal player for the next decade, Delauter without a doubt.

I was JUST about to ask this to my buddies.
If you could lock one of these guys up for a 9-10 year deal, and could only pick one, who would you choose?

@FranmilsEyebrow Would you extend him or delauter for cheaper?

@cdlenthusiast It's back and biceps day brother. Chest and tris are for Mondays.

@FranmilsEyebrow I'm an Arsenal guy because of the old Fifa days playing with Henry. But hard to pick them right now without looking like a bandwagoner. Fulham, like others are saying, would be a fun one.

The rulebook defines the strike zone as a 3D volume. Any part of the ball crossing any part of that space is a strike. ABS uses a 2D plane at the plate’s midpoint.
MLB tested the literal rulebook version first. The 3D zone produced inconsistent calls on breaking balls. Evaluating at the front edge turned slow curveballs that bounced in the dirt into called strikes.
The midpoint plane was chosen because it tracked closest to how umpires have been calling the zone in practice for decades.
The legitimate criticism here is that the rulebook was never updated to match what the system actually does. That’s a real process failure.
But calling it a technical limitation implies they couldn’t get it right. They tested it, didn’t like what it produced and made a deliberate choice.
Moveouttheway, peck@feelitmon
@rationalyankee Good point, including where you refer to the “ABS strike zone” instead of the strike zone. The ABS system’s technical limitations cause its strike zones to violate the official MLB rules. It moves the 2D vertical plane from the front of the plate to its midpoint — still wrong.

Maybe read your bill?
The accepted forms of ID to vote under the SAVE Act:
1. Enhanced REAL ID: Only available in 5 states. Costs up to $50 (poll tax) and requires a birth certificate which 40M Americans lack access to.
2. Valid passport: 146M Americans do not have and costs at least $130 (poll tax). Trump gutted the agencies issuing them.
3. U.S. military ID card presented with military record of service.
4. Government-issued photo ID showing place of birth: 300M Americans do not have one, and costs up to $50 (poll tax).
5. Non-Enhanced REAL ID driver’s license, state ID, or tribal ID shown in conjunction with a birth certificate (40M lack access to) that matches your last name (which 69M women do not have due to marriage) and other forms of documentation, and which require a cost to obtain (poll tax).
If this was truly a voter ID bill, it would provide every eligible voter in the U.S. a voter ID, and provide them at no cost to align with the 24th Amendment — so why doesn’t your bill do that if voter ID is so popular?

@therenziel @mohabboting @ScarletRenyai Intern is the title for a year 1 resident. They're doctors, they've officially graduated med school, but still tons to learn. Santos was an R1 last year, that's why she introduced herself as an intern, now she's an R2.

@mohabboting @ScarletRenyai He literally is not. Did you miss the entire scene where Robbie calls him doctor and hands him his badge?
