This is how we made our application faster. I'm currently working on a web application that is quite large and complex, and over time the initial load started to feel slow. Here is what I did to improve it: I used a visualizer to see what was actually being shipped to the browser, this enabled me to see the dependencies and identify the heavy ones and replace them with lighter alternatives. Next, I introduced code splitting. Instead of loading the entire app at once, I used React lazy loading to split pages and large components. This ensured users only download what they need when they need it. I cached the data using TanStack Query. I also added loading skeletons for better UX. I optimized the assets by compressing images and avoiding unnecessarily large files. These simple changes made a huge difference in the performance of the application. What methods do you use to improve the loading speed of your applications?

I launched a SaaS product last year and the result is quite interesting. Over 80% of my users are from the US, even though I live in Nigeria. It's quite interesting to know that Nigeria is not even in the top 3 countries using my product. As a founder, don't build applications with a particular country in mind, you might be limiting the growth of your product. I'm so happy and proud of the results so far because, these first world countries have more purchasing power than Nigeria.

Decided to turn off the whole noise and lock in for 4months straight without any distractions and my life changed drastically. At this point I figured I’ve just been lazy as distracted from doing the thing I should have done a long time ago.
