I’m not gonna blame Shakira so the flop crown goes to Nadine. She’s the manager, right? Then she should be managing… as in hiring the right people instead of just sitting pretty and collecting that paycheck. Like… what exactly is she getting paid for? 🙄

Shakira says she had to convince her label to let her release “Hips Don’t Lie”: “My album was already distributed and then this idea came up and Wyclef and I met and started working on this track… I knew I had a hit, so I called Donny Ienner, who was in charge at the time, and I said, ‘Donny, you have to pick up the album from the stores.’ He said, ‘No way. This album is already out.’ I said, ‘You gotta believe me, you gotta trust me. You do that, we have a hit.’ And he said, ‘OK, I’ll listen to you on this one.’ He did it. We repackaged the albums, and it changed my story.”
