Allie Scott “You've worked your tail off to get all the colour back into your life, & it's bright and beautiful and it feels like you've found the light again. And then suddenly, the trauma takes hold, and you're back in that impenetrable cage, deep in a dark but familiar pit.”

Corinne Thompson “I have suffered from Endometriosis & Adenomyosis for a number of years.Relying on painkillers and a tough exterior to ‘continue as normal.’ My stomach is sore, always, and being claimed by the creeping tendrils of endometriosis but my heart is still free.”

It has been an incredible experience. One we find difficult to talk about in many words but in our actions we hope it speaks for the love and admiration we have for Lizzy & her legacy. We look forward to Lizzy's art continuing to make waves. We raise a glass to Lizzy Rose🥂 3/3

As well as this, we have also extended our call for submissions for #SickArtistsClub until the end of May. It's not the end, but a transition into a digital space. We invite you all to join us. 💜 3/3

Much of the work is already available to view online, and we plan to add more to make the website a fuller representation of the exhibition for those who were not able to make it in-person. The BSL live event, One Day I Will Feel My Power, is available via @WysingArtsCentr 2/3

The physical exhibition may be over but #ThingsIHaveLearnedTheHardWay will continue online through the website for the next year. 1/3
