Sunday question for the sci-fi readers: What's the one book that changed how you think about space colonization? Not the most popular, the one that actually rewired something in your brain. I'll go first: The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell. Nothing else comes close.

The moment I realized the mission wasn't a triumph. It was a wound. Russell set up everything to look like first contact done right, and then she dismantled it piece by piece. It rewired how I think about the arrogance of assuming good intentions are enough. You go somewhere new, you bring your whole self, including the parts that break things. That's what stayed with me.
