In Sarandi, northern Paraná (Brazil), a 52-year-old man named Devair Cordeiro Bori was seriously wounded after being stabbed twice in the chest during the early morning hours of March 11, 2026.
The victim had met a woman at a bar earlier that night and brought her back to his home on Avenida Barcelona. During an intimate encounter, an argument erupted when he refused her request to buy drugs for her. The woman, who had concealed a knife, then attacked him. Despite his severe injuries, the man managed to flee the house, alert neighbors, and call for help. He was rushed to a hospital and admitted to the ICU in critical condition. The suspect fled the scene on the victim's motorcycle but was located and arrested by police a few hours later. The case is being investigated as attempted murder (tentativa de homicídio) by the Civil Police.
