Lots of cool murals from units past and present. The oldest I found was from all the way back in 1998 and a few from this year. Hundreds of T-Walls with custom art. Soon the 346th En Co will adorn a t-wall of our own. #KnowYourMil

@RaleighBikeLady It's funny, I haven't been on twitter in a quite a while, and the first thing I see when I log back on is you guys still pushing this "Ride the bus" effort. How's it going? I read the other day that ridership is down, even on the free routes.

@FoodBankCENC Natural side effect of a civilized people... perhaps one day we'll progress past it. But most civilizations fail before they do.

@justingern It would be so nice if instead of saying "what can we blow this money on?" The city said, "let's collect less money next year since we have all this money left over..."

@YIMBYRaleigh I find it interesting that her reference to parking is the major takeaway from this post. There's at least 2 points that should be highlighted over parking. But still, can someone provide context to the original post we're critiquing. Perhaps @jeanhedges can. Thanks!

@xtremetoonz @KimleyHorn Will do, hey @KimleyHorn what's the margin for error with respect to the stats @xtremetoonz is putting out? Are we actually to believe that 98% of the people who have moved into the Downtown area since 2003 have 0 impact on traffic? Thanks!

For those in Raleigh concerned with downtown traffic and how development has impacted traffic from 2003 to 2017, the annual increase in traffic was 0.14%. The decimal is correct. Not even 2 tenths of a %. Fact from a major Planning and Design Engineering consultant in Raleigh.

Parting thought, with the considerable increase in pop by 2017 and more by now, but basically no increase in traffic, seems we should strongly consider rezoning requests without having NIMBY arguments around traffic. Does that just leave shadows of buildings to contend with?

@ExploreRaleigh @justingern There isn't anyone else on the candidate list that wants this local Gov shrunk like I do. However, anywhere in the US that has a BRT system sees an increase in growth. It's already had plenty of money thrown in it, just means we need liberty for citizens building what they want.

@JamesGBledsoe1 @justingern I think any increased bus patronage due to the investment into the BRT program isnt worth the cost of the impact it will have on the general publics commuting experience. Prioritizing buses won't help the majority of commuters & taking lanes away from cars is counterproductive

@ExploreRaleigh @justingern Unfortunately I count people everywhere I go. Current bus infrastructure isn't bad but it does need to be updated. I do always count at least 3-5 people at a bus stop whenever I'm coming home/getting up early enough for droving/biking to work. The new BRT should see an increase.
