For years, when there were many Jamun trees along the Canal–Bhawati Nagar road, every time it rained or strong winds blew and electricity snapped, we were told: “Trees have disrupted the supply; branches have fallen on the wires.” Eventually, all the trees were cut. Yet, the problem did not change. Then came a new explanation: “The wires are old and get cut during rain and wind.”So the wires were replaced. New cables were laid. New poles installed. And yet,Electricity still fails during rain and wind. Now the obvious question arises: If there are no trees, no old wires, and new poles are in place, what exactly is stopping the electricity supply? @JPDCLofficial @OmarAbdullah @OfficeOfLGJandK
